Creating an antiqued mirror panel is a highly artistic process, using carefully guarded techniques to achieve the precise level of foxing and desired finish. Each panel is antiqued by hand, with particular attention given to the edges so the effect develops naturally from the outside and softens towards the centre – faithfully reflecting the character of a genuine antique mirror plate.

Verre églomisé is the art of applying a painted design to the reverse side of the glass, then applying gold or silver leaf, creating panels of extraordinary detail and beauty. Designs range from delicate botanicals to geometric patterns with each piece worked entirely by hand and unique to the commission – making it a natural choice for clients seeking something truly one of a kind.

Gilded glass is created by applying gold or silver leaf directly to the reverse side of the glass to produce a richly luminous surface. The result can range from a clean, reflective finish to something more textured and layered, depending on the desired effect. Like all work produced by the studio, each gilded glass piece is made by hand in our Hampshire workshop.

All our finishes can be applied to our coloured glass.
